Professional Registration

SACE — Educator

South African Council for Educators. All teachers must register with SACE before they can be employed in a public or private school. Registration requires a recognised teaching qualification (BEd or PGCE). SACE also handles disciplinary matters and ensures professional standards in education.

Applies to: All graduates planning to teach at any level from foundation phase through to FET.
